Stairlifts in New Cumberland and the West Shore, PA
New Cumberland is ten minutes from our shop, and Lewisberry and Etters in Fairview Township are home. When we say local installer on this page it is literally true: five of our jobs are in Lewisberry and Fairview, more are in New Cumberland and Lemoyne, and a service call here is the shortest drive we make. Fairview Township's median household income is around $106,000 with 87 percent of homes owner-occupied, and most of those homes have a staircase.
West Shore homes: borough, river towns, and Fairview Township
New Cumberland borough, between Bridge Street and the Yellow Breeches, is brick and frame homes from the early 1900s with straight, fairly steep stairs, plus post-war Cape Cods and ranches toward Old York Road. Lemoyne and Wormleysburg along the river are the same era with a few steeper rowhome flights. Fairview Township is the newer, larger housing: 1980s and 1990s two-stories in the developments off Lewisberry Road and around Valley Green, ranches with basement stairs in Etters and Goldsboro, and split-levels from the 1970s in between. Lower Allen, toward the Capital City Mall, adds mid-century ranches and the homes along Lisburn Road.
Our installs here include a curved rail custom fit to a Lewisberry staircase with neutral upholstery, a straight K2 in another Lewisberry home, and a stairlift in New Cumberland borough. Penn State Health Holy Spirit and UPMC West Shore are both a few minutes up Route 15, and many West Shore calls begin with a discharge planner.

What a stairlift costs on the West Shore
Rail length sets most of the price, then straight versus curved, then options such as a folding rail at a doorway or a powered swivel seat. The written quote includes the lift, the rail cut to your stairs, installation, and the first year of service. Pennsylvania residents with a doctor's note pay no sales tax, and financing is available. There is never a travel charge this close to the shop, for installs or for service. Brackets are in the FAQ; the exact number comes from a free visit, often the same week, or from the online stairlift quote within 24 hours.
Installation ten minutes from the shop
Because New Cumberland and Fairview Township are so close, a visit usually fits within a day or two and a stocked K2 can often be installed the same week. Installation takes two to three hours, with the rail mounted to the treads and nothing on the walls, and the rider uses the lift that day. Curved rails arrive two to five weeks after the order and go in the week they land. This is also where we respond fastest to a service call: a lift that stops the night before a holiday is usually running again the next morning. Service calls are a flat $195 plus mileage, which here is nothing.
Drive time and scheduling

Straight answers
Stairlifts in New Cumberland: common questions
How much does a stairlift cost in New Cumberland?
Most new straight stairlifts land between about $3,000 and $8,000 installed, pre-owned units roughly half that, and curved rails generally start somewhere around $10,000. There is no travel charge anywhere on the West Shore.
How fast can you install a stairlift in Fairview Township?
Faster than anywhere else we work. A visit usually fits within a day or two, and a straight Savaria K2 that is in stock can often be installed the same week.
Do you cover Lemoyne, Wormleysburg, and Lower Allen?
Yes. Lemoyne, Wormleysburg, Lower Allen Township, Lisburn, Lewisberry, Etters, Valley Green, and Goldsboro are all within fifteen minutes of the shop.
Can you put a stairlift on the garage stairs in a Fairview Township home?
Yes. Garage steps into the house are a common install here. A short indoor K2 handles a few steps; a full flight from a garage to a main level takes a standard rail, and an outdoor-rated unit is available for unheated garages.
Do you service stairlifts on the West Shore that you did not install?
Yes. We repair and service most brands, including lifts from dealers that have closed, and this is where our response time is shortest. A service call is a flat $195 plus mileage.
