Why the PVE30
Fits where nothing else does
Thirty inches across. A PVE30 stands in the corner of a stairwell, a hall closet, or beside a balcony edge.
One rider, standing
Sized for a single person who can stand for the ride. For a walker, a transport chair, or two people, step up to the PVE37 or PVE52.
The lightest construction
A 32 inch hole in the floor and a circuit. The tube is self-supporting; nothing is built around it.
Cannot strand you
On power loss the cab settles to the bottom landing and the door unlocks.

Straight answers
Questions we hear every week
Who is the PVE30 right for?
Is there a seat?
The cab is too small for the fold-down seat offered on the PVE37 and PVE52. It is a standing cab.
How much floor space does it take?
The tube is 30 inches across, and the finished floor opening is 32 inches. Allow room for the door to swing at each landing; the door dimension drawing shows it.
How loud is it?
Going up, the turbines sound something like a vacuum cleaner for the length of the ride. Going down is nearly silent. The split-unit option moves the turbines to another room.
What does a PVE30 cost?
It is the lowest-priced PVE. The number of stops, finish options, and site work set the price, so we quote after a visit.
Is the PVE30 the right size for your home?
Call and tell us who will ride it and where it would go. We will come measure, talk through the three sizes, and leave a written price. The drawings in the documents section of this page are ready to hand to your builder or electrician.
