Why the PVE37

  • The size we recommend first

Two people, or one with a walker or a small transport chair. It handles how most households actually use an elevator.

  • A seat when you want one

The fold-down seat turns it into a seated ride for anyone who tires standing.

  • Still a small footprint

Thirty-seven inches across. It sits beside a staircase or in a foyer without taking over the room.

  • Light construction, short project

A floor opening and a circuit, then two to four days of installation. Most PVE37s are riding within a few weeks of delivery.

Questions we hear every week

Does a walker fit?

Yes. A standard folding walker and its user fit the PVE37, which is the main reason we recommend it over the PVE30 for anyone planning ahead. A wheelchair does not; that is the PVE52.

Two passengers, really?

Two adults standing. With the fold-down seat, one seated rider and one standing companion.

How much floor space does it take?

The tube is 37 inches across. The installation requirements sheet gives the finished floor opening and the clearances around it, and the door dimension drawing shows the door swing.

How long from order to riding?

Usually six to ten weeks, most of it lead time on the unit. The installation itself is two to four days once the floor opening is cut and the circuit is in.

What does a PVE37 cost?

In the same neighborhood as the PVE Cube and well under a traditional elevator with a hoistway. The number of stops, finish options, and site work set the price, so we quote after a visit.

Is the PVE37 the right size for your home?

Call and tell us who will ride it and where it would go. We will come measure, talk through the three sizes, and leave a written price. The drawings in the documents section of this page are ready to hand to your builder or electrician.
